About
We are the only providers in Cumbria offering a combined session of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) and Red Light Therapy, allowing you to benefit from two complementary, non-invasive treatments in one appointment. HBOT provides whole-body (systemic) benefits, while red light therapy delivers more targeted, localised effects.

During your session, you will recline comfortably inside the chamber and breathe up to 98% oxygen through a mask, while the chamber is continuously supplied with fresh ambient air. A red light therapy pad can be positioned as needed to target specific areas of the body. Sessions typically last around one hour.

Our soft-shell chambers operate at a maximum of 1.4 ATA (approximately equivalent to 13 feet below sea level), known as mild hyperbaric oxygen therapy. In comparison, medical-grade HBOT can reach pressures of up to 2.4 ATA. Mild HBOT provides the majority of the benefits associated with higher-pressure treatment, with a significantly lower risk profile, and has been in use for over 25 years.

The 40-Hour Golden Rule
While some individuals notice benefits after a single session, research and clinical experience suggest that cumulative exposure is key. A total of approximately 40 hours of HBOT is often associated with more significant and longer-lasting physiological effects. This “40-hour guideline” is not a strict rule, but a well researched benchmark indicating that consistent, repeated sessions may optimise healing, recovery, and overall outcomes.
